SHEENA GOZON

In December 2013, I graduated Master of Arts in Interior Design from Marymount University in Arlington, Virginia. Before pursuing my master’s degree, I earned a Bachelor of Science in Architecture from the University of Santo Tomas in Manila, Philippines. In 2008, I passed the Philippine Architecture Board Exam and acquired my licensure.

2007 to 2010 I worked at Nestor S. Mangio & Associates as an interior architect in the Philippines where we worked on a wide range of project types and sizes, from residential (hotels, single-family houses, and condominiums), to clinic, from airport lobbies to a furniture and lighting design and detailing.

My involvement in every projects goes from: proposal reviews, architectural details, site inspections, furniture designs, coordination and 3D presentation.

Currently, I am working for DNC Architects Inc as a Designer. Our project types includes commercial design and varies from ground-ups, office-fitups, office to lab conversions, life-science: small scale GMP, Vivarium, Spec Labs, etc.

Some of my professional responsibilities includes, Project Management, Space Planning, Programming, Coordination, Virtual Look (3D renderings) that shows layout of selected furniture, finishes etc. Understanding client’s / company’s goals and branding and applies it to the space 3Dimensionally. 
 

I am also involved in creating spaces that helps client to visualize the space, it’s layout and finishes. I am also part of the team that works on construction documentation, including selecting of 
finishes, as well as detailing of specialty areas. 

I can confidently say that my varied experience uniquely position my approach to every project with a holistic view of the big picture and a particular sensitivity towards the client’s goals. From a design perspective, I believe every design is unique, and that each will require its own different approach. Each must be an extension of own’s vision branding, and that beauty and function are subjective with every user.
